Kerala: Yellow Alert Issued in Idukki, Palakkad, Wayanad & Other Districts Due to Heavy Rains

Met Department has predicted heavy rainfall in the above districts.

Kerala, September 24: The Kerala CMO has issued a yellow alert in Pathanamthitta, Idukki & Wayanad districts for September 25th. According to an ANI update, a yellow alert has been issued in Palakkad, Idukki, Thrissur and Wayanad districts for September 26. Met Department has predicted heavy rainfall in the above districts. Kerala Floods: Government Cancels All Official Events for One Year, International Film Festival of Kerala and Other Youth Festivals Stand Cancelled.

The State Disaster Management Authority has instructed district authorities to be on alert and directed them to take necessary precautions.

Kerala has been devastated that took many lives and displaced several people. It was referred to as the worst floods in nearly a century. Donations started pouring in from all the corners of the world, the Centre declared the floods in Kerala as a 'calamity of severe nature' announced and released Rs 600 crore relief package for the flood-hit state.
