Kerala Murder Mystery: Latvian Tourist Was Drugged, Raped Before Being Killed

The girl was missing for months, and finally, her decomposed body was found on April 21

Kerala, May 4: In a horrific twist to last month's incident where a decomposed body of the Latvian tourist was found hung upside down, head severed in a forest last month, it has now been found she was drugged and raped before being murdered. The Latvian woman had come to Kerala was seeking help for depression was drugged and raped before she was killed.

According to reports, two suspects, who drugged and sexually assaulted her have been arrested. Both the accused have been booked for murder, rape and under section 20 B of The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act.)

The Latvian woman, who had come to Kerala in February with her sister Ilze, had gone missing on March 14 from the Dharma Ayurvedic Healing Centre in Pothencode. The girl was missing for months, and finally, her decomposed body was found on April 21. Her sister identified the body, and DNA test further confirmed it.
