Kerala, June 27: Eleven members of two different families have reportedly gone missing from Kasargod, Kerala state from June 15. The police have started an investigation into the case, and according to reports, they are also tracking the travel records of all these missing people. As per the initial investigation, the police have assumed that they have joined Islamic state terrorist group ISIS. Instances of youngsters joining the terror group were reported in the past. In 2016, about 21 people from Kerala alone had gone missing, while five of them were killed while fighting for the ISIS.

As per the news reports, out of the eleven missing people, six are children and a few are women. One of the family members had filed a missing report after they failed to contact their daughter Nashira. It was rumoured that Nashira's family had joined the terrorist group.

Reports mention that her husband Sadab had a mobile shop in the Gulf and alleged to have joined the militant group with his entire family. However, an audio clip soon started circulating on WhatsApp after the speculation, in which Sabad could be heard saying that he is safe in Hadhramauth area of Yemen.

The intelligence agency, on the other hand, stated that the missing people have contacted their families and are in Yemen.
