Kerala Honour Killing Case: Family Lashes Out at Police for Not Taking Timely Action

According to a report on Deccan Chronicle, Kevin belonged to a Dalit Christian organisation and Neenu ’s father was a member of the Malankara Church.

A shocking incident of honour killing has come to the front, where a 23-year-old newly married man was allegedly abducted and killed by his wife's brother, who was unhappy with the alliance. The dead body was found today, floating in a canal in Thenmala region, roughly 100 km from Kottayam.

His new wife's brother kidnapped the victim Kevin P Joseph from Kottayam, and friends, who ransacked their house before putting Kevin in the car. The deceased's wife and his father have complained that police have not taken any action, even after all the details of the abduction, including the names of all the accused and their car number was provided.

As per an India Today report, they got married in court on May 19 and then informed their family. The girl's family had objected to their marriage, but on police intervention, they could finally tie the knot.
