Kanpur Rape Horror: 13-Year-Old Girl Raped, Thrashed Mercilessly By Accused & His Family, Condition Critical

According to an ANI report, her condition is critical because of the assault, and she is admitted to the hospital.

Kanpur, April 25: Another horrific crime against woman comes to the front ,and again it is from Uttar Pradesh. A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped and beaten by a 16-year-old juvenile in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur Dehat district. The accused, a neighbour, allegedly committed the crime in the presence of his sister in Shivli town on Sunday, said Ratan Kant Pandey, Kanpur Dehat deputy inspector general (DIG).

According to reports, after raping the minor, the accused, along with his father and mother, also allegedly thrashed the girl and threatened her of dire consequences if she dared to open her mouth and tell others about the incident. The victim, however, narrated the incident to her family, who later went and complained to the police.

According to an ANI report, her condition is critical because of the assault, and she is admitted to the hospital.

Over the last few months, there has been an increase in rapes against minors. The entire nation was seen protesting, post the horrific rape and murder of the 8-year-old girl in Kathua came up. There has been no end to it, post that, be it the Unnao rape, Surat rape and murder case, atrocities against women and minors are on the rise. Last week, a maternal uncle was accused of raping and murdering his 6-month old niece in Indore. The accused was caught with the help of a CCTV camera, which was at the spot. A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by a group of three people in a moving car in the city of Greater Noida on Tuesday this week. Looking the current situation, the POCSO Act was also amended, which will now give death penalty to people convicted of raping girls between 0-12 years.
