Mumbai, November 27: Telecom companies are back to hiring people with higher salary packages. According to an ET report, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio Infocomm have put out mandates to hire executives locally and overseas for salaries of as much as Rs 2 crore. The Head Hunters India has been asked to get an expat as a Chief Digital Officer, with a package of Rs 1 crore salary. According to the report, Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel and Jio are the only private operators, and according to industry experts, despite pressure on revenue, the worst is believed to be over. Salaries in other categories such as broadband have also improved, and for the post of CEO, the package can move anywhere from Rs 1 crore to Rs 3 crore. It is believed that slowness and weariness in the telecom sector are going away, however stable hiring days are still far away.
