Srinagar, July 6: A constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police, who was abducted by terrorists in Shopian on Thursday, was found dead in Kulgam district on Friday. The bullet-ridden body of constable Javaid Ahmad Dar was found in Pariwan village. The wreath laying ceremony of Dar was held this morning.

Javaid Ahmad Dar was abducted on Thursday evening from his home in Shopian district's Vehil village. He was abducted from a local medical shop in Kachdoora area where the security forces had gunned down five terrorists in an encounter in April this year.

The incident comes days after Aurangzeb, a rifleman of 44 Rashtriya Rifles posted in Shopian, was abducted from Pulwama by terrorists. Aurangzeb was kidnapped in broad daylight when he was on his way to home to celebrate Eid with his family. Hours later, his body was found at Gussu village.
