Last month, another incident of negligence was reported from Uttar Pradesh, where a woman was left locked up inside the government hospital ward. The doctors reportedly left her to attend a programme of the local legislator. Left alone with her daughter, the latter's thirst was quenched by the patient using water from the toilet tank.
