Mumbai, September 20: In a shocking incident, a Jet Airways 9W 0697 Mumbai-Jaipur flight was turned back to Mumbai mid-air today as, during the climb, the crew forgot to select switch to maintain cabin pressure. According to an ANI update, 30 out of 166 passengers on board experienced nose and ear bleeding, some also complained of a headache. The passengers are being treated at Mumbai Airport. According to the latest update, the flight will take off from Mumbai for Jaipur at 10.15 am.
Due to the low cabin pressure, oxygen masks were also deployed as the flight was in its climb. The flight’s cockpit crew has been taken off scheduled duties pending investigation. The airline is making alternative flight arrangements for guests on this flight, said a Jet Airways Spokesperson, according to ANI.
