Mumbai, September 20: In a shocking incident, a Jet Airways 9W 0697 Mumbai-Jaipur flight was turned back to Mumbai mid-air today as, during the climb, the crew forgot to select switch to maintain cabin pressure. According to an ANI update, 30 out of 166 passengers on board experienced nose and ear bleeding, some also complained of a headache. The passengers are being treated at Mumbai Airport. According to the latest update, the flight will take off from Mumbai for Jaipur at 10.15 am.
Due to the low cabin pressure, oxygen masks were also deployed as the flight was in its climb. The flight’s cockpit crew has been taken off scheduled duties pending investigation. The airline is making alternative flight arrangements for guests on this flight, said a Jet Airways Spokesperson, according to ANI. The airline has been facing a lot of storm over the last few months and negative news about Jet Airways continue to hog the limelight. From employees being reportedly asked to take a forced pay cut or else the airline is not in a condition to fly to reporting Rs 1,323 Crore loss in the first quarter, as against Rs 53.50 crore profit last year.
