Mumbai, November 2: Jet Airways is in the middle of severe controversy, and has been grabbing headlines over the last few months. According to an Economic Times report, the airline has given its pilots the option to leave, without serving their notice period. This has been decided, keeping the financial instability of the airline. Reportedly, more than 50 pilots have resigned in the last few months, with most leaving after serving a notice period of just 48 hours. Pilots are usually required to serve a notice period of 6 months after their resignation. Jet Airways Appoints Goldman Sachs & Boston Consulting as Advisers to Plan Out Revival Strategy.

The airline which has been trying to raise fresh funds, has appointed Goldman Sachs Group and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as advisers recently, to achieve these goals. In another news, Jet's premium passengers flying out of Mumbai, received a shock, when their access to the GVK Lounge at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Terminal 2 was stopped. The airline in a statement has clarified that it is temporary, and have apologised for the inconvenience. Jet Airways had asked banks for a moratorium on loans and has asked for fresh funds to ease the cash crunch situation which they are facing.
