New Delhi, June 9: The Jama Masjid Shahi Imam Maulana Syed Ahmed Bukhari tells Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) senior leader Vijay Goel to work for Muslims. Goel met him earlier today in Delhi as part of their party initiative sampark for samarthan (contact for support) initiative, which has been started ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections According to ANI, during the meeting, the Maulana expressed his fear that Muslims are being targeted and abused. Also, as only one year is left for elections to take place hence to bring confidence in the community people, BJP should reach more towards them he suggested.

The BJP under its realm has started sampark for samarthan initiative. The idea behind the initiative is to reach out to prominent personalities and share their party work of last four years. The initiative was first launched by BJP President Amit Shah on May 30. During his first meeting, he met Baba Ramdev to seek his support. After that Shah also met actor Madhuri Dixit, and Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray other prominent people during his one day Mumbai visit on June 6. Also, another Union minister Nitin Gadkari met Bollywood superstar Salman Khan at his Bandra Galaxy apartment for same yesterday.
Reportedly, each BJP worker has been given the responsibility of contacting at least ten people under the sampark for samarthan initiative. Moreover, the party is also using the NaMo App for promotions.
