Mumbai, Aug 3: Election results of the Jalgaon Municipal Corporation (JMC), also known as Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation, will be declared today. The Jalgaon Municipal Corporation went to polls on Wednesday and 55 per cent voters exercised their franchise. The electoral battle is between the Congress-NCP alliance and the Shiv Sena-BJP tie-up. In Jalgaon civic body, a total of 303 candidates are in the fray for 75 seats spread across 19 wards. Ahead of the polls, the Congress and the NCP formed an alliance to contest elections, whereas Shiv Sena-BJP have an informal alliance.
