Mathura, March 18: In a tragic incident, three doctors working with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi were killed in an accident on the Yamuna Expressway near Mathura. As per reports, a speeding Innova car rammed into a stationery truck on the Expressway near Mathura, killing the three AIIMS doctors. Three others have also been critical injured in the accident. The injured ones are currently undergoing a treatment in the nearby hospital.

Reports state that the deadly accident took place in the wee hours of Sunday morning near mile station when the car in which the doctors were travelling rammed into a container. The three AIIMS doctors identified as Dr. Yashpal, Dr. Harshad and Dr. Hembala who were killed in the tragic incident were reported to be going from Delhi to Agra.

Yamuna Expressway is one of the most dangerous expressways where such incidences happen often. Earlier this month, two people were killed when an ambulance collided with a stationery tractor-trolly on the same expressway. As per reports by PTI, the accident occurred at about 5 am when a Noida-bound ambulance rammed against a stationery tractor-trolley from behind. The deceased from ambulance have been identified as 34-year-old Dharmendra, and 32 -year-old Aditya Seth, both residents of Kannauj district.

In January, a 30-year-old Delhi woman was killed and her parents critical injured after the car in which they were travelling overturned on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura district. Reports state that the victim was a native of Dehradun lived in Prashant Vihar colony of Rohini in New Delhi while her parents, both in their 60s, were admitted to a private hospital.
