Woman's Body Preserved in Refrigerator By Son in Kolkata, Reminds Us of the Horrific Robinson Skeleton Case
Police has reported that the financial condition of the family looks stable as both of them were government employees and received a steady pension.
Kolkata, April 5: In a new horrific incident, police has recovered a body of a female from a refrigerator in Behala at Kolkata. According to an ANI report, the body was preserved for more than two years by her son. Police have detained the woman's son and her husband for interrogation. Investigation is underway. As per an Indian Express report, the lady had died due to cardiac arrest. Police has reported that the financial condition of the family looks stable as both of them were government employees and received a steady pension.
The son too looks mentally stable till now, he is a leather technologist, who had applied ‘mummification’ techniques to preserve his mother's body in a commercial freezer used to store ice-cream and frozen food in stores.
A similar incident was reported few years back, the infamous Robinson Street skeleton case in Kolkata, where Partha De, a 43-year-old man spent months with a dead body of his sister and skeletons of dogs in James Long Sarani in Kolkata. The charred body of a 77-year-old man, his father was found inside one of the bathrooms in the house. Partha De, the reclusive software engineer who abandoned his flourishing IT career in Bangalore after his mother's death.
