Mumbai, April 6: In a shocking incident, a woman was molested by a man onboard a local train in Mumbai on Thursday night. As per reports, the train was plying from Thane to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station. The man has been arrested at Dadar railway station. As per details by the Police, a case has also been registered.
In a video that went viral, a woman and a man were seen getting into a heated argument. The man can be seen repeatedly harassing, assaulting and molesting a woman. As per reports, the coach was for the specially abled so none of the passengers could come to her rescue.
The woman was being brutally thrashed by the man. The disturbing visuals expose the dark reality of women safety in Mumbai. According to a TOI report, the accused has been identified as Rafique Shaikh who is a taxi driver by profession.
The co-passengers traveling in the compartment alerted the Dadar GRP, who arrested the accused. A case of attempt to commit murder and molestation has been registered in this regard, reports said.
