New Delhi, July 31: Delhi's Education Minister Atishi Marlena announced on Wednesday, July 31, that the Delhi government will form a committee comprising officials and students from coaching hubs to draft regulations for coaching centres. This decision follows a tragic incident in which three IAS aspirants drowned in the flooded basement of a coaching institute in Old Rajinder Nagar. The announcement was made during a press conference.

"The law will have provisions for infrastructure, teacher qualification, fee regulation, and preventing misleading advertisements. Public feedback will also be sought," Atishi told media persons. What Are Proposed Regulations for Coaching Centre?

  • Fees will be regulated to address the issue of unregulated charges by coaching centres.

  • The law will include infrastructure standards and teacher qualifications provisions, ensuring that coaching centres provide safe and conducive learning environments while employing qualified and well-trained instructors. 

Additionally, an email address (coaching.law.feedback@gmail.com) has been released to gather feedback from the public. The people of Delhi, especially students, are encouraged to submit their feedback. These are some of the key laws proposed by Atishi. While this is not a comprehensive list, it highlights the major regulatory changes being considered.
