Uttar Pradesh: 10-Year-Old Child Injured After Attacked by Stray Dogs in Sitapur
A 10-year-old child was injured after being attacked by stray dogs in Hargaon area.
Sitapur, May 22: A 10-year-old child was injured after being attacked by stray dogs in Hargaon area. The child was admitted to hospital. It was not the first time that stray dogs attacked children in Sitapur.
Till now 14 children were killed by stray dogs in the region so far. On May 13, a 12-year-old girl was mauled to death by stray dogs. The children killed by stray dogs belonged to the same area and were between age of 5 -12 years. A total of 24 children were also reported to be injured by stray dogs in Sitapur.
Sitapur is almost 92 km away from Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow. The Sitapur administration initially blamed slaughterhouses for feeding stray dogs with leftover meat. The incident is not only limited to Sitapur only, but this type of incidents are also taking place in Govindsarai, Gurpaliya, Tikariya, Newada, and Badri Kheda.
