The safety of women passengers in app-based cab services have always been a big question be it in India or abroad. Time and again, reports of sexual harassment, molestation and rapes of women passengers have been reported. On last Sunday in New Delhi, a woman faced a harrowing experience as the Uber driver was allegedly masturbating in front of her, while driving the car. According to reports, the driver, originally from Mewat district in Haryana, was taking the woman passenger from Airport, it was then she noticed something unusual in the way he was driving.

Reportedly, on peeking in front, the lady was shocked to find the zip of his pant open with him masturbating while driving. Taking into account the woman's complaint, the Delhi police arrested the driver. He was later taken to court which sent him to judicial custody.

A similar incident was reported from Denver, when a Uber driver tried to kidnap a woman passenger named Nancy Leong and take her to the hotel, instead of the passenger's destination. Through a series of tweets, the hassled passenger, who is also a professor at University of Denver has shared her nightmarish experience.

As per reports, in 2014, an Uber driver in Orlando was arrested for fondling a female's breasts and later blaming the driver's action on the victim's choice of clothes.
