New Delhi, June 1: In a bizarre incident, a tyre of a Spicejet plane burst in Ahmedabad on Friday, causing inconvenience to passengers onboard. According to a recent tweet by ANI, the tyre of SpiceJet flight SG-85 which was on its way from Ahmedabad to Bangkok burst during the takeoff at Ahmedabad airport. More details are awaited.

According to details by officials, the passengers had been deplaned. Meanwhile, the incident has delayed several flights because the aircraft was blocking the runway.

In February, a similar incident was reported from Chennai where a tyre of a SpiceJet flight travelling from Chennai to Delhi burst when it landed at the Chennai airport. All the passengers were evacuated safely.  Reports inform that the flight SG-106, soon after take-off reported ‘hydraulic issues’ due to which the plane decided to return to Chennai. The crew declared an emergency.
