Mumbai, May 3: Months after the devastating fire at restaurants in Mumbai's Kamala Mills compound in Lower Parel, another similar incident of massive fire has been reported from the restaurant in the same locality. According to recent tweets, Cafe Zoe Staff Canteen in Mathuradas Mill Compound caught fire on Thursday afternoon. Initial reports inform that the blaze is under control and no casualties have been reported. More details are awaited.
However, the Mumbai Police confirmed the news and informed that a fire has broken out at Todi Mills and fire Brigade, as well as Police staff have been pressed into service in the Lower Parel area of Mumbai.

Meanwhile, few other Twitter users said Zaffran restaurant caught fire and advised Mumbaikars to not use the Senapati Flyover side entrance to enter the Todi mill compound. We, at LatestLY could not confirm the authenticity of the news.

To recall, a total of fourteen persons were killed and several others injured when a fire broke out at the Mojo's Bistro and 1 Above pub at Kamala Mills in central Mumbai on December 29, 2017.
The devastating fire had broken out in two adjoining rooftop restaurants -- Mojo's Bistro and 1 Above -- at the Kamala Mills compound in central Mumbai on December 29 last year. Also, the police have arrested 14 persons, including the owners of the two restaurants and MCGM officials, for alleged illegal alterations and violation of safety norms at the restaurants.
After the deadly incident last December, the hotels and restaurants associations today admitted that there a need for better infrastructure, particularly for fire safety. "The Mumbai fire incident reiterates the need for improving infrastructure conditions, in particular fire safety," National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) president Rahul Singh was quoted by PTI.
