Terrorists Enter Kashmir Valley Through Pir Panjal Mountains; Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir on High Alert
A group of 12 Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have entered Jammu and Kashmir.
New Delhi, June 1: A group of 12 Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have entered Jammu and Kashmir. These terrorists in Kashmir valley could plan a large scale attack. Security agencies have circulated an alert across the valley. According to the agencies, the terrorists could also sneak into Delhi to carry out attacks. The counter-intelligence grid in the valley has been put on a high alert. The intelligence network in Delhi and the National Capital Region has also been alerted.
According to inputs provided by the security agencies, terrorists have infiltrated from the Line of Control's Pir Panjal Mountains to India. A senior officer from Jammu and Kashmir police told NDTV, "Infiltrators have divided themselves into sub-groups and are believed to be heavily armed and well-trained,"
Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists could plan a large-scale strikes on Saturday, June 2. It is also the 17th day of Ramzan and the anniversary of the first battle of Islam, Battle of Badr. Last year even, the terrorists carried out a series of attacks in Kashmir on the Badr anniversary. JeM claimed the responsibility of all the attacks.
In the morning Terrorists lobbed grenades and fired upon a Bunker vehicle of the 183 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) battalion. The security forces have also recovered three bags containing suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The Centre has decided not to carry out any security operations against terrorists in Kashmir Valley during the month of Ramzan.
