A teenager was booked for raping a six-year-old boy in Khandala
Lonavala, May 31: A teenager was booked for raping a six-year-old boy in Khandala. A case in the matter was registered at Lonavala city police station on Wednesday. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, the incident took place at 2.30 am on Monday at the teenager’s residence. The 14-year-old teenager lives in police training school quarters in Khandala.
The teenager took the child to his residence. There he had unnatural sexual intercourse with him. As per the complaint filed in the matter, the 14-year-old boy also touched the child inappropriately. Arvind Kate, an assistant police inspector, told Hindustan Times, "We have not yet apprehended the teenager. Initial investigations into the matter are on so I cannot tell you more, but we will know more on Friday.”
The father of the child approached the police after he gets to know about the incident. According to the report, a case was registered against the teenager under Sections 377 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 4 (punishment for penetrative sexual assault) and 8 (punishment for sexual assault) of Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 at Lonavla city police station. The police station comes under the jurisdiction of the Pune rural police.
