Florida, May 12: SpaceX successfully fired off the final 'Block 5' version of the Falcon 9 reusable rocket. The upgraded model, which can be reflown about a hundred times, carried Bangladesh's Bangabandhu satellite-1.

The flight thus marks the debut of both the Block 5 version of Falcon 9 as well as Bangladesh's first communications satellite into space, Cnet reported.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said that he would like to see a single Block 5 rocket fly three or four times by the end of 2018. He also said that he hopes to demonstrate the same rocket to be re-launched in a span of 24 hours.
