Mumbai, February 24: The national road cyclists with thousands of other participants will be seen in action at the Saksham Cyclothon which is to be held on the city's roads on February 25. The Mumbai Police on Saturday issued a traffic regulation with regards to the Cyclothon in the city which is going to be held between 5 AM to 10 AM.
In a series of tweets, the Mumbai Police said that no parking will be allowed on South Bound N S Road from Air India Building Junction to Band Stand Junction (Tambe Chowk). The Mumbai Police further informed that people will not be allowed on Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan/ Mela Junction & From Sea Link Gate, North & South Bound, Worli Sea Link.
The Cycling Federation of India secretary-general Onkar Singh had earlier said at a media conference that a total of 180 top men and women cyclists of the country, including the national team members, will take part in the 58-km race for elite men and 38-km race for elite women. A total prize money of Rs 6 lakh each will be on offer.

In its advisory, the Mumbai Police suggested routes that can be taken tomorrow avoid confusion and hassle. It said people who want to go for Airport should go fromHaji Ali Junction- Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan/Mela Junction - Mela Junction- N bound - Worli Naka Junction- Poddar Jn- Glaxo Junction on Annie Besant Road - Hardikar Junction- left turn - J K Kapoor Chowk - Sea Link Gate- Right Turn- Sea Link.

It must be noted that the cyclothon is an initiative of the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas along with Oil and Gas Public Sector Units to make the citizens aware of the importance of conservation and effective utilisation of petroleum products.
