New Delhi, January 3: The Railways Recruitment Board has released a notification for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors and Constables in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). Interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria and other important details related to the recruitment here or on the official website at rpf.indianrailways.gov.in.
The current round of recruitment is being done to fill up vacancies of 250 Sub-Inspector and 2000 Constable positions in RPF/RPSF. Out of these, 10% of vacancies will be reserved for ex-servicemen and 15% for women candidates. RPF Recruitment 2024: Age Limit
The minimum age requirement for Sub Inspector (Executive) is 20 to 25 years of age. While the age limit for Constable (Executive) is 18 to 25 years. However, upper-age relaxation applies to the candidates from the reserved categories. RPF Recruitment 2024: Educational Qualification
The educational qualifications required for the positions are as follows:
Sub Inspector: Graduate from a recognised university.
Constable: 10th pass or equivalent from recognised Board.
Note that a degree from a recognized university for Sub-Inspector and a matriculation certificate for Constable from a recognized Board shall only be valid.
Candidates have to go through a computer-based test (CBT) in order to qualify the first round of the recruitment process. The examination will be graduation level for sub-inspector posts and matriculation level for Constable posts. All the candidates have to score at least 35 percent to qualify the CBT except SC and ST candidates for which the qualifying score is 30 percent.
The standard of examination for Sub Inspector will be of graduation level and for Constable of matriculation (Class 10th) level. It will be necessary to obtain 35% marks (30% marks by SC and ST candidates) to qualify for the CBT.
