Bihar, October 2: In a shocking instance once again, the alcohol bottles that were seized by police in Kaimur, Bihar have been destroyed by rats. According to reports, when the Kaimur district administration officials reached a godown to destroy the seized liquor bottles, according to the instruction of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, they were shocked to find that the several cartons containing beer cans have been gnawed at by the rats. The manner in which the cartons were nibbled, caused the beer to ooze out, thus causing stains on the boxes. According to a DNA report, no rats were found during the destruction exercise.

A similar incident took place in 2017, the police had said that rats had consumed several thousand litres of seized alcohol, after the confiscated bottles had gone missing from the storerooms. Bihar Police was also trolled for saying that rats finished off more than 9 lakh litres of alcohol, which the police had seized from people flouting prohibition laws in the state.
