Mangalore, May 29: As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), monsoon has set in in Kerala and drizzles are expected in the region at any time in 24 hours. But the nearby southern region of Karnataka in Udupi near Mangalore experienced heavy downpours on Tuesday. According to IMD, the downpours were not monsoon showers but pre-monsoon spells.
