Mumbai, May 25: The Mumbai special POCSO court announced life imprisonment to a 35-year old man on Thursday. The man was accused of raping two of his live-in partner's minor daughters and impregnating them. It was proved in the court that the man sexually assaulted and raped the two underage girls on multiple occasions, which resulted in pregnancy. The woman who was living with the man since 2008 got to know about his act only when her daughters complained about him to her.

The daughters opened up to their mother about how the accused tried to abuse them when she left for her job. Also, they told her that on several occasions they were raped by him, which shocked the woman since she trusted him blindly.

After knowing the truth, the woman filed a police complaint in Mumbai's Kalachowki police station; the officials who headed the investigation finally gave justice to the victims. The medical reports of the two girls were also submitted to the court. The DNA samples, which proved that the convict had impregnated the girls, helped to seek the justice. The court, after examining all the evidence, sentenced the man to life imprisonment.
