Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren on the victory of Congress-JMM-RJD alliance in Jharkhand Assembly elections. In a tweet, he conveyed best wishes to the alliance in serving the people of the state.

In another tweet, the Prime Minister thanked the people of Jharkhand for the opportunity they gave to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to serve the state for five years. He applauded the party workers for the efforts put in during the elections. PM Modi further added that his party would continue serving the state. In the Jharkhand Assembly elections, the JMM emerged as the single largest party with leads in 29 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress-JMM-RJD alliance is ahead in 46 seats. However, the BJP failed to return to power in the state as the saffron party could manage to take the lead in 25 seats only. The All Jharkhand Students’ Union is ahead in three seats.
