Mumbai, May 24: PM Narendra Modi accepted Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli's fitness challenge on Twitter today. But soon after PM Modi responded to Virat's tweet, the oppositions, leaving no stone unturned to troll the PM, grabbed the opportunity to ask whether the PM also takes other essential challenges which are before the nation.

The Congress party Chief Rahul Gandhi criticised PM Modi over the fitness challenge asking him to reduce the soaring fuel price, or else his party will call a nationwide protest soon.

Adding to this, the Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav also slammed Modi for accepting the fitness challenge. Tejashwi asked PM Modi to also take the challenge of providing more job opportunities and relief to farmers, and stopping violence against Dalits and minorities along with fitness challenge.

Star cricketer and fitness icon Virat Kholi yesterday shared a video of him doing push-ups and challenged his wife Anushka, PM Narendra Modi and MS Dhoni to accept the task. Kohli in his tweet said that as he successfully took the challenge put up politician Rajvardhan Rathore, who earlier challenged him along with Actor Hrithik Roshan and Saina Nehwal who was tagged with a hashtag #HumFitTohIndiaFit.

Though the fitness challenge gave the opportunity to opposition party leaders to troll PM Modi for not being prompt in dealing with other serious problems, PM own ministers and party leaders came forward in his support of the trending fitness challenge. Kiran Rijiju BJP leader and also the Union Home Minister of Home Affairs also joined the challenge. Rijiju was featured in one of the videos, in which he has performed tricep dips on a chair. Other ministers also joined the challenge.
