New Delhi, October 5: The government will disburse the 18th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Over INR 20,000 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of more than 9.5 crore farmers across the country, with each eligible farmer receiving INR 2,000.

In the previous, 17th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme, which was disbursed on June 18, 2024, about 9.25 crore farmers received the INR 2,000 payout. What is PM-KISAN Scheme?

The PM-KISAN scheme aims to provide financial support to small and marginal farmers, helping them meet agricultural and household needs. Under the scheme, farmers receive INR 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of INR 2,000 each. The funds are directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. How to Check Eligibility for PM-KISAN Scheme?

Farmers can check their eligibility or enrollment status through the following steps:

  1. Visit the official PM-KISAN website.
  2. Navigate to the beneficiary list page.
  3. Enter state, district, sub-district, block, and village details.
  4. Click on ‘Get Report’ to view the list and check if their name is included.

Additionally, the beneficiary list is displayed at local Panchayats.

How to Complete eKYC for PM-KISAN Scheme?

To continue receiving payments, farmers must complete eKYC through one of three methods:

OTP-Based eKYC

  1. Visit the PM-KISAN portal.
  2. Click on “e-KYC” and enter your Aadhaar number
  3. Complete the process using the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

 Biometric-Based eKYC

  1.  Visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK).
  2. Perform Aadhaar-based biometric authentication with assistance from the CSC/SSK operator. The service incurs a fee of ₹15.
  3.  Face-Authentication eKYC
  4. Download the PM-KISAN mobile app and Aadhaar Face RD app.
  5. Login, enter your Aadhaar number, and perform a face scan to complete eKYC.

Farmers can also access their payment status via the KYS module on the PM-KISAN portal or through the Kisan-eMitra chatbot.
