Petrol, Diesel Prices on November 22: Fuel Charges Slashed Again, Check Rates in Metros

Mumbai, November 22: The fuel prices on Thursday was dipped again, giving respite to the consumers. The price of petrol in New Delhi dipped by 41 paise, while the the price in Mumbai dipped by 40 paise. With this the new rate, the price of petrol in the national capital reached to Rs 75.97 per litre, while for Mumbai it was Rs 81.50 per litre, according to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) data.

There was a dip in the diesel prices also. The prices of diesel dipped by 30 paise in New Delhi, while it was slashed by 32 paise in Mumbai. With this, the price in desel changed to Rs 70.97 per litre in Delhi and Rs 74.34 per litre in Mumbai. '28% GST + VAT' if Petrol, Diesel Brought Under Goods & Services Tax Regime: Report.

Also, the prices were slashed in Kolkata and Chennai too. The petrol price in Kolkata was slashed by 40 paise, making the availability of petrol at Rs 77.93 per litre. While in Chennai, the price of petrol was Rs 78.88 per litre, due to the cut of 43 paise.

The diesel price was also slashed by 30 paise in Kolkata, making its availability at Rs 72.83 per litre. In Chennai, the price of diesel came down to Rs 74.99 per litre, a slash of 32 paise.

Earlier on Tuesday and Wednesday, the petrol price in Delhi was Rs 76.38 per litre and that in Mumbai to Rs 81.90 per litre. The diesel price for Delhi was Rs 71.27 per litre and its Mumbai price was Rs 74.66 per litre.

Similar were the prices in Kolkata and Chennai. In Kolkata, the petrol price was slashed to Rs 78.33 per litre and its price in Chennai was reduced to Rs 79.31 per litre. However, the diesel price in both the cities were reduced to Rs 73.13 per litre and its price in Chennai was Rs 75.31 per litre.

It is to be known that a month ago, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had announced a reduction of Rs 2.50 per litre on both petrol and diesel prices. This was done after curbing excise duty on the commodity by Rs 1.50 per litre. He had also requested the respective state governments to slash the same amount at their end.
