Petrol, Diesel Prices Hiked For 13th Consecutive Day in Row: Check City-Wise Fuel Rates Here

Mumbai, May 26: Petrol and diesel prices were hiked for a 13th consecutive day in a row on Saturday. Although the magnitude of the hike was less as compared to the past four days, the fuel rates were increased by nearabout 12-20 paise across the UTs and state capitals.

The worst impact of the booming petrol prices will be felt in Mumbai, where the per litre cost jumps to Rs 85.78 today. Diesel in the city will cost at Rs 68.90.

In Delhi, the petrol prices have shot to Rs 77.97, whereas, the rate of diesel has been increased to Rs 68.90. Kolkata witnessed a similar fuel rate surge, with petrol costing in the city at Rs 80.61, whereas, the per litre cost of diesel is Rs 71.45.

The spree of hike in petrol and diesel prices were triggered following a peak in the international crude oil rate. The brent crude oil jumped to $84.4 on May 14 -- crossing the $80-benchmark for the first-time ever since November 2014. The price rise was primarily caused to the sanctions re-imposed by the US against Iran and Venezuela, two among the handful of oil exporting nations.
