Gurgaon, May 3: The Delhi Police, on Thursday, arrested OYO Hotel Manager named Raghav, for raping a woman in a hotel room at Emaar Residency, Gurgaon. The same place where the 22-year-old woman and her husband were staying for the past month. The accused, Raghav, had been arrested from his home in Ghamroj village, on Wednesday.

"The accused has confessed to his crime, and he will be produced in a city court on Thursday," said the investigating officer, sub-inspector Manjusha,  as quoted by news reports.

According to the police officials; in her complaint, the victim has stated that the accused told her that they have to shift rooms on Sunday. She asked him to wait until her husband returned from work. However, the accused again came back to her room at around 11.45 pm, but this time he barged into her room. "As she regained her senses, she realised she was raped. Then she called Raghav who admitted to his crime when she threatened him to approach police," the officer added.

The couple has filed a police complaint following which a First Information Report (FIR) lodged. Meanwhile, the Police are investigating all possible suspected angles in the case.

The reports have mentioned an official statement from OYO, which reads "We are deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident at Emaar Residency and will continue to extend our full support to police during the probe, along with the owner of the hotel."

The official statement from OYO further mentioned, "As the matter is under investigation, we have suspended the employee in question. It also claimed that Emaar Residency was not an OYO owned hotel instead of a partner on a franchise model."
