Noida, September 28: Noida Police on Friday, September 28, arrested a 62-year-old man for allegedly killing his wife. The man, the resident of Kheda Choganpur village, Ecotech-3, hit the woman with an iron rod, which led to the death of the woman. The accused faces charges under section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Central Noida DCP Shakti Mohan Avasthy confirmed the case, with further proceedings underway.

The accused, Putan Singh, fled the scene when police responded to a 112 emergency call. Upon arrival, officers took his wife Rajni's body into custody and sent it for a postmortem. On the day of the incident, another argument escalated, leading Singh to strike Rajni with an iron rod. is now facing serious legal charges under section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The incident was confirmed by Shakti Mohan Avasthy, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Central Noida, who stated that the case against Singh was officially registered on Friday. According to Avasthy, the police have been diligently investigating the case and are in the process of gathering all relevant evidence, including witness statements, forensic reports, and other details crucial to building a strong case.
