Noida Shame: Toddler Killed By 12-year-old After Failing to Sexually Assault Her
Talking to the Noida police, the boy confessed to his crime and mentioned that he had taken the girl child to a nearby deserted field where he tried to assault her.
Mumbai, June 9: The body of a two-year-old girl was found in a field near a place of worship, in Noida. The toddler was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 12-year-old boy, who also lived in the same village. The girl was reportedly choked by the minor boy, the Noida police have said.
The boy has been sent to a juvenile home after a case was registered against his name. The infant’s body was found on June 6, Wednesday, almost 14 hours later of her being taken away from a neighbour’s house in a village in Noida.
As per a Times of India report, SHO of Bisarkh Police Station, Akhilesh Tripathi said, “A police team visited the village and questioned local people. We scanned CCTV footage from a house in which the boy was seen taking the child away from where she was playing.” He added, “We have registered a case of murder against the accused. He was produced before the Child Welfare Committee and sent to a juvenile home.”
When the girl’s body was found dumped in a field, it had severe injury marks on her body. There were marks on her face, neck, and back. The toddler’s eyes were visibly damaged too, and it seemed that she might have been with a brick.
Talking to the Noida police, the boy confessed to his crime and mentioned that he had taken the girl child to a nearby deserted field where he tried to assault her. Her cries made her fear that the villagers might come to know about it; he allegedly started hitting her with brick and eventually strangulated her to death.
The girl’s father is a house painter while her mother is a homemaker. The victim’s father had also filed a complaint in the matter alleging his sister-in-law and another relative in murdering her. A further police investigation has suggested that the medical reports in the incident haven’t confirmed rape.
