Mumbai, May 7: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has appealed residents of Ghatkopar and Kurla of turbid water supply over the next seven days. As a precautionary measure and prevent people from being infected by any waterborne disease, the civic body has appealed residents to filter and boil the water being supplied to their tanks before its consumption.

The water to be supplied could be infiltrated and contaminated as the BMC will commission the Ghatkopar high-level reservoir tank from today. Since the tank was recently repaired, the civic body claims there is a high-possibility of water being supplied to their houses be muddy, making it unfit for drinking without boiling.
