Mumbai, June 4: Mumbaikars waiting for rain were not left disappointed as heavy downfall greeted the city on Monday evening after strong winds and cool breeze. However, what initially seemed like a shower turned into a downpour and with it brought the usual traffic woes in the maximum city. Today being Monday and the heavy rainfall coinciding with office leaving hours made matters worse for Mumbai traffic. There are already reports of power cut in Andheri, Kanjurmarg and Parel.
People did not forget to share pictures of rain even while travelling:

One wonders if this is the situation in first heavy shower, what fate the city awaits for the season. Rains are a necessity and awaited eagerly, but not the traffic of course. There are no easy solutions for traffic woes and especially when it rains this heavily. While the shower has definitely given relief to Mumbaikars from the heat and humidity, it seems water logging, power cuts and traffic woes is the price to pay for the delight of rains for the residents of the Maximum City.
