Mumbai, April 18:  In what is believed to be a shocking incident, a man was seen walking on the  footboard of Mumbai's local train on Tuesday.  As per a CCTV visual, the man who carried out the stunt this time was found walking on train footboard while the train chugged along the platform of Ghatkoper railway station in Mumbai.

Reports inform that when the incident occurred, a loud noise was heard due to which the passengers immediately came out of train compartment in fear. The train was delayed for nearly four minutes.

According to Railway Police Force officials, on Tuesday afternoon at around 1:45 pm a man got electrocuted after his hand came in contact to the high voltage overhead wires at Ghatkopar railway station. The CCTV video that runs up to 1.50 minutes, captured the footage of the deadly incident.

Brijesh Singh, Sub Inspector of the Railway Police Force (RPF) of Ghatkopar railway station confirmed and stated,"The unidentified man who was seated on the roof of the train got up and began walking from one compartment towards the other, while the train halted at Ghatkopar station. However, while walking on the rooftop, he was waving to those on the platform and as he raised his hand it came in contact with the high voltage overhead wires. He was thrown away and fell in the nulla between the two tracks."

The RPF officials immediately rushed at the spot and sent him to the civic run Rajawadi hospital in Ghatkopar for medical treatment. Singh added the man is alive, but still in unconscious state and has sustained severe burn injuries. Also, his identity is yet to be known, while from his pocket police only found one small paper having number. Police officials said when contacted on the number the respondent said he don't know him, and he shared his number to the electrocuted man as  he was looking for some labour work at Kalyan railway station.
