Mumbai, June 1: At least 5 persons were stranded on upper floors of Scindia House (Commercial) where a Level-2 fire broke out on Friday afternoon. According to a recent tweet by ANI, the blaze took place inside an office at Scindia House near Income Tax office, Ballard estate in Mumbai.
According to a recent update, the Level-2 fire now becomes Level 3 fire and the five persons who were stranded have also been rescued. No casualties have been reported yet. As soon as the blaze was reported, five fire tenders present at the spot. As per reports, it is a ground plus 6 floored building and the fire is confined to 3rd and 4th floor. 4 jets are pressed in operation.

Fire incidences are on a rise across the city. In May, fire swept through the seventh and eighth floors of the Technic Plus One building in Goregaon. The incident took lives of five people.
In a similar incident last month, a major fire broke out at Gupta Market, which houses MM Mithaiwala outside Malad (west) station. Soon after, 12 fire engines were rushed to the spot.
