Mumbai, April 9: On Monday and Tuesday, (April 9 & 10), fliers travelling in and out of Mumbai Airport, will have to face inconvenience, owing to the pre-monsoon maintenance work on the main runway from 11am to 5pm. In the absence of the main runway, the second runway will remain functional, but delay and cancellation of several flights are expected.
As per reports, similar block of shutting the main runway for few hours in the day was also conducted by Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) authorities between February 1 and February 17 during which several flights were delayed and few were cancelled. Talking about the recent shutting of the main runway, Jet Airways has tweeted about it and has put up a list of cancelled and rescheduled flights on their website.

Air India too has tweeted about the same and has shared a list of cancelled and rescheduled flights on the company's website:

Reportedly, Mumbai Airport handled around 980 flights in a single day during January 2018. Mumbai Airport has already crossed its installed capacity of 40 million passengers. It handled over 48 million passengers this fiscal.
