Similar incident had happened in February, when a 30-year-old man, a resident of Mansa Devi Complex (MDC), Panchkula, has gone missing, just ahead of his marriage in Himachal Pradesh. In the same month, body of Nikita Sharma was fished out of Bhakra canal after she went missing.
Atreyee from Bengaluru on the other hand, had gone missing on 4 April, the day she arrived in Bengaluru from Toronto, and was located again on 11 April. She is currently pursuing a post doctoral fellowship in Toronto. Similar incident happened, before she landed in Mumbai recently, she was not responding to calls from her parents. When she finally got back a day later, she said she had arrived in New Delhi. It was then, that her father asked her to fly to Bengaluru immediately. We really hope that, that the man is safe and Police soon be able to trace him.
