Medical Negligence in Chhattisgarh: Five Dead Bodies Lie Unattended at Government Hospital in Balrampur

Rajpur, April 21: In another incident of medical negligence, about five dead bodies were found lying unattended on the floors of a government hospital in Chhattisgarh. According to a tweet by ANI, the deadly incident took place in Balrampur's Rajpur on Friday.

As per reports, Balrampur's Chief Medical & Health Officer accepted the mistake. The victims were killed in a collision between two vehicles.

In another case of medical negligence, a family of Uttar Pradesh's Banda has alleged that their child died after a government hospital here refused to treat their ailing son. The father of the child said that the hospital denied attending his son as he had no money to pay the fees.

Earlier this month, the Gurgaon police arrested two doctors of Fortis Memorial Research Institute, on charges of medical negligence. According to a report by Indian Express, the two doctors, senior cardiologist Dr Suryanarayan Murty and emergency doctor Dr Vajja Nagaraju, have been booked under Section 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC. They were granted bail later.
