New Delhi, June 10: A woman in Mathura reportedly thrashed a man with slippers after he forcefully pulled her towards him. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place in Mathura's Mant village.

The woman alleges that the man came and caught hold of her wrist and later pulled her while she was asleep.

"I was sleeping when he came and caught hold of my wrist, pulling me towards him", she said. The woman's son informed that villagers have decided to thrash the man. Also, a fine of Rs 5,100 have been imposed on him.

The investigation into the matter is underway. Police said it will take action when they get a complaint about the matter.

In the last month, the Mathura police arrested six people on charges of an attempt of rape and child and immoral trafficking on a complaint of a minor Assamese girl. The arrested include four employees of Military Engineering Services(MES), a private bank employee and guest house manager.
