Man Caught Masturbating Inside Kolkata Bus Arrested by Police After Girl Posts Video Online
Kolkata Police has posted on its Facebook Page that it has arrested the man identified as Asit Roy and as ensured that strict action will be taken against him.
Kolkata, May 13: The Kolkata man who was caught masturbating inside a public bus by two girls, one of whom shot a video of the man while he was at it, has been arrested by police and has been identified as Asit Roy. Shockingly, the man kept giving expressions and even smiled despite knowing that he was being recorded on the camera as can be seen in the video shared by the girl on Facebook.
‘No one helped,’ said the young girl. She screamed for help, but no one came forward to stop the man from committing adultery in broad daylight. Her Facebook status further revealed that similar event happened to her 15 days ago where the same man discomforted her with such shameful act and the girl was scared to revolt. But this time she decided to do something about it and rightly so.
This is not an isolated incident. In fact, such despicable acts have been getting reported from various cities. An Uber cab driver was found masturbating before a woman passenger here on May 4, according to a complaint filed by the woman. The cab aggregator later announced it had sacked him. The incident took place in the crowded Andheri East area. According to the woman, as she sat in the cab, the driver suddenly exposed himself and started masturbating in full public view while the vehicle had halted at a traffic signal.
Popular Marathi actress Chinmayee Surve, wife of actor Sumeet Raghavan had complained that she spotted a guy in BMW masturbating in front of her.
A Delhi University girl had lodged an FIR at Vasant Vihar Police Station against a man for molesting her in a moving bus on February 12. The girl, who recorded the incident on camera has also lodged a complaint against a middle-aged man for allegedly masturbating beside her in a moving bus.
In a shocking incident, a woman was molested by a man onboard a local train in Mumbai on the night of April 6. These incidents prove that safety of women in public places and public transportation remains a cause of concern and needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
