Srinagar, May 25: After Major Leetul Gogoi was found with an 'underaged ' girl in one of the Srinagar's Hotel along with his friend Sameer Ahmed, the mother of the girl has now made some shocking revelations. She said that officer Gogoi raided their house twice in the past. According to an Indian Express news report, the girl's mother was quoted as saying: “He raided our home twice. On one occasion, I fainted when I saw the Army. On both times, he (Gogoi) was accompanied by Sameer. He warned us not to tell anyone about the raid."
On Wednesday, Gogoi, Ahmed and the girl were questioned at a police station following an altercation at the Hotel Grand Mamta after the staff refused to let her in. The staff called the police and narrated the incident, and later they took them to the police station. The officer was then handed over to his unit. Meanwhile, the SP North City Sajad Ahmad Shah, who was asked by IGP (Kashmir) S P Pani to conduct an inquiry, told police that a room in the hotel had been booked in the name of Leetul Gogoi.

The girl is from Budgam village of Srinagar. Over her daughter's presence in the hotel, the mother said, “She left home in the morning saying she would go to the bank and return soon. We had gone to work in the fields. We had no idea about it till others in the village informed us late in the afternoon.”
Also, the girl was earlier considered to be minor, however, after verification, police found that she was an adult. After recording her statement, she was sent back to her house. On the contrary, mother of the girl has said that her daughter is 17 years old. Sources said the girl's school and Aadhaar records show her year of birth as 1998. After the incident, she has been sent to a distant village to stay with a relative for some days.
Prior to this incident, Major Gogoi was in the news for tying a civilian to his jeep and driving him through several villages of Budgam last year, which drew a lot of flak.
