Lucknow, June 4: In a shocking incident, a six-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four juveniles in Indira Nagar area of Lucknow. Police have detained one 14-year-old accused. An FIR has been registered in connection with the case. The girl is a daughter of a slum dweller. All the four accused live in the victim’s neighbourhood. The police have launched a manhunt operation to nab rest of the accused.

The girl was sent for an examination. She is undergoing a treatment in a hospital, where her condition stated to be out of danger. The case has been registered under Sections 376-D (gang rape), 342 (illegal confinement) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC against the four boys on the complaint of girl’s mother.

According to the girl’s mother, the boys entered the house in Faridinagar locality at midnight and kidnapped the girl. The girl's mother started searching for her the four-year-old went missing from the house. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, locals spotted the victim around 250 metres from her house in semi-unconscious condition on Sunday Morning.

The boy detained by the police is identified is a son of domestic help. He stays with his family in a rented place just a few metres away from girl’s house. According to the report, all the accused belong to the age group of 14-16 years.

Yesterday, a five-year-old girl was also raped and murdered in Haryana's Yamunanagar. The child's body was thrown into a drain reportedly. In another shocker, a four-year-old girl in Haryana's Faridabad district was raped and stabbed to death on Saturday. It was alleged that a man who used to work at the girl's father's sweet shop raped her.
