Mumbai, October 18: The Konkan Board of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) on Wednesday extended the application date for its affordable housing lottery by a month, MoneyControl reported. Earlier, the last date to apply for the Konkan MHADA lottery 2023 was October 16. Now, the deadline to apply for affordable MHADA houses near Mumbai is November 15. As per the MHADA's revised schedule, the results of the lottery will be announced on December 13. Those who wish to apply for the Konkan MHADA lottery 2023 can do so by registering at housing.mhada.gov.in, MHADA's official website. Over 5,300 homes in satellite towns near Mumbai, such as Thane, Virar and Vasai, are being offered in the lottery in the price range of about Rs 10 lakh to almost Rs 50 lakh. Under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (PMAY), more than 1,000 of the 5,300 homes will be offered to low-income and middle-income residents. According to MHADA, the cheapest apartments in the lottery have a carpet area of 258 sq. ft and are priced at Rs 9.89 lakh. The costliest apartments have a carpet area of 667 sq. ft and are priced at Rs 49.81 lakh. It must be noted that many of the apartments are still under construction. For those who wish to own a house in Pune, it must be noted that October 20 is the last date to apply for the Pune MHADA lottery. The lottery by the Pune Board offers 5,863 affordable homes. The Pune Board offers affordable homes in Pune, Solapur, Sangli and Kolhapur. The lottery was announced on September 6. The smallest apartment available in the lottery has a carpet area of 204 sq. ft, and the largest has a carpet area of 1,087 sq. ft, and the price range is Rs 5 lakh to Rs 1.11 crore.
