Kerala Senior Cop Removed After Daughter Booked For Assaulting Driver

The driver is said to have been undergoing treatment at the Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram. The driver's wife approached the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan and complained of constant harassment to her family and husband in particular. The CM promised of tough action following which the decision to remove the officer was taken.

Thiruvananthapuram, June 16: The senior Kerala cop, whose daughter and wife allegedly assaulted the official driver at duty, has been transferred from his post. This move comes after multiple complaints emerged about him and his family members. Earlier, after getting attacked, the driver had filed complaint against the officer's daughter. But the daughter later filed a counter-complaint against the driver.

The officer, who is the Assistant Director General of Police (ADGP) and his family has been in the news for the wrong reasons after news of his daughter and wife physically hurting the driver came to light on Thursday, June 14.

The driver's complaint states that the officer's daughter not only abused but also hit him with a mobile phone. This, according to the driver, happened after he had gone to receive the daughter of the officer and her mother for the morning walk.
